Singham Again Review: Today Release Worldwide Movie , Download, Cast, Budget ₹350−375 crore

Singham Again is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language action film written and directed by Rohit Shetty, who co-produced the film with Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios and Devgn Films under the banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez. STARRING: Ajay Devgn (Role: “Taanaji”), Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. This is the fifth entry in Shetty’s Cop Universe franchise and a direct sequel to 2014’s Singham Returns.

In terms of the film’s history, it was first announced in Sept 2017 with the working title Singham 3, then the title was officially revealed in December 2022. Principal photography started in September 2023, and completed in September 2024. The movie had been filmed in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kashmir and Sri Lanka. Theatrical release[edit] Dilwale was released on 1 November 2014, on the day of Diwali, in both standard and IMAX versions.

Singham Again Production

Singham 3: In September 2017, Rohit Shetty, during the announcement of his next directorial project with Ranveer Singh, announced that a third installment in the Singham film series would happen. He said that he would write and direct it, and would have Ajay Devgn in it, but did not reveal when it would go on floors. In January, 2020, Devgn had teased the making of third chapter of the franchise, which was tentatively titled as Singham 3.

Those reports came weeks after it was claimed that Akshay Kumar, who previously starred in Shetty’s Sooryavanshi (2021)–part of the Cop Universe that includes the Singham franchise–would reprise his role from the film in March that year. In January 2021, it was announced that the film’s production would start after Shetty would complete works for Cirkus (2022) and Jackie Shroff was reported to star as the primary antagonist.

Ranveer Singh, who would also reprise his role from the 2018 film Simmba, was also reported for the film in November, alongside Akshay Kumar. The production houses announced this collaboration of Shetty and Devgn on 1 December 2022, along with the official title Singham Again. Devgn was due to begin work on this after he finishes Bholaa (2023), for which they had scheduled production.

Singham Again Casting

The remaining actors like Ajay Devgn Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar Ranveer Singh, Jackie Shroff and Dayanand Shetty have reprised their respective roles from earlier films of Cop Universe while actors like Deepika Padukone Tiger Shroff and Shweta Tiwari were roped in for other roles. In February 2024, Arjun Kapoor was signed on. Arjun Kapoor’s character was said to be a Sri Lankan militant In Sept 2024 it was rumoured that Salman Khan will do a cameo in the movie where he will reprise Chulbul Pandey but later it was assumed Khan will not do a cameo. But Khan’s cameo was confirmed a few days later.

Singham Again Filming

Filming started on 16 September 2023 with a muhuratam puja at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. The initial schedule took place at the same site. This was also the leg that also featured Ranveer Singh. Shweta Tiwari also became a part of the sets. On 23 September, Kareena Kapoor’s shooting on the sets commenced.

On 5 October, second schedule has started and cast were in Hyderabad to shoot for major portion of film including high action packed climax. The sets were joined by Kareena Kapoor on October 6. Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff and also Arjun Kapoor reached the collection. Akshay Kumar finished filming for his part on 15 October. Ranveer Singh completed his section on 20th October, The second schedule finished on November 7.

An action scene set at a fair was shot on 19 November, at Madh Island, and filming resumed at the same location. The scene needed a large number of people and more than 100 actors were roped in. A grand action sequence featuring Devgn and Singh was filmed at the Golden Tobbaco Factory in Vile Parle in the last week of November. Also had about 150-200 people in the crowd and a few car explosions While shooting this scene, he also had an injury in his eye. After this, the shooting shifted to Film City and a fight scene along with other sequences were filmed in an Ashram set. Kareena, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor also filmed a night shot.

Filming resumed for the next week at Ramoji Film City, mostly shooting action scenes for the film, though without Devgn, who was still recovering. Arjun Dwivedi then came aboard to reprise his part from the Cop Universe series Indian Police Force.

Tiger Shroff had shot for his portions at Film City in early February 2023. A shootout sequence was filmed in Byculla with Ajay Devgn, Dayanand Shetty and Shweta Tiwari in the first week of March . After this, the shooting shifted to Richardson & Cruddas Mill. The shooting had begun in March as a temple in Wai was used in the third week with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor.

Akshay Kumar completed his portions during the 3rd week of April 2024 at Ramoji Film City. Deepika Padukone finished filming her portions at the Golden Tobacco Factory, Vile Parle. In May 2024, Arjun Kapoor shared a touching note announcing the completion of his portion. Shot in May 2024 in Kashmir, the swing of Ajay Devgn and Jackie Shroff was shot. By the end of the month, Ranveer Singh had wrapped up his parts too. Ajay Devgn completed his portions in July 2024. The final portions of the film and some other scenes were also filmed in Vile Parle in September 2024.

Singham Again Reviews

Singham Again Music

Music of the film is composed by Ravi Basrur and Thaman S and they released the first single Jay Bajrangbali on 19th October 2024. On 26 October 2024, the second single “Singham Again Title Track” was made available. But then was removed due to a YouTube copyright infringement notice by T-Series after he uploaded the Singham theme composition from the first two films. Later, a version of the track stripped of the parts that were copyrighted, was made available.

Singham Again Release

On Diwali 2024, Singham Again saw worldwide release in standard and IMAX cinema formats on 1 November 2024. Originally scheduled for 15 August 2024, coinciding with Independence Day, the film was delayed as post-production work was incomplete. Phars Films purchased the international distribution rights.

As many as 7.12 minutes were cut before the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared the film by giving it a U/A (parental guidance) classification. Meanwhile, the film was prohibited in Saudi Arabia as it touched on a “religious conflict” and tensions between Hindus and Muslims.

Home media

Amazon Prime Video purchased the digital streaming rights of the film for ₹130 crore.
