According to the actress, many people assume she intentionally chose to eat less, but the reality was very different. She explained that certain foods could trigger her condition, making food one of the biggest challenges during her recovery journey.

Why she ate the same food every day

Samantha revealed that during the two years she stepped away from films to focus on her health, she had to follow a highly restricted diet. Any food that affected her gut could worsen her autoimmune symptoms, forcing her to be extremely careful about what she consumed.

Recalling that phase, Samantha said, “So, my food became extremely restricted and extremely bland. I would eat the same food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for two years.”

The actress explained that food became a trigger during that period, and even a small dietary change could have consequences. As a result, repeating the same meals every day became a necessary part of her treatment and recovery process.
