In short:
The Horsham Town Hall has cancelled and postponed events as a police investigation into hidden cameras in theatre change rooms continues.
Performances have been postponed as far into the future as June.
What's next?
Police are asking anyone who may have been impacted by the alleged offending to contact Crime Stoppers.
Multiple performances at the Horsham Town Hall have been postponed in response to an investigation into reports of hidden cameras in the theatre change rooms.
Victoria Police executed two search warrants in Horsham on April 2 — seizing mobile phones, computers and storage devices for forensic examination.
One event at the venue was cancelled last week and at least two more have been postponed while the centre is temporarily closed.
When asked why events in June were being postponed, and if there was still a risk at the venue if the cameras had already been removed, Victoria Police said it was a matter for the Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC).
HRCC said the event cancellations were a "precautionary measure".
"To support the investigation and as an added precautionary measure, a number of shows and events have been cancelled and will be rescheduled," HRCC said in a statement.
"Ticket holders and affected patrons and performers will be contacted directly with updated arrangements."
Earlier this week, Victoria Police said it was unclear how long the devices had been in place, but said they had been used for "a period of time".
Victoria Police said a person of interest had been stood down from his job.
